loved two things: putting on shows and playing school. A party at her house was never complete without Rachel performing a new song or show, and her little sister and dolls were often students at Miss Rachel's "schoolhouse." And when they weren't students, her sister and dolls were being incorporated into Rachel's next show, which was always ready to be performed at a moment's notice. Rachel grew up and her love for both teaching and children overrode her love of performing enough for her to pursue a teaching degree. Rachel happily taught elementary school both as a classroom teacher and special education teacher for many years, performing in community theaters and singing in choirs and on stage whenever she could, until her twin boys were born and she decided to become a stay-at- home mom. Miss Rachel loved being a mom to her kids, but craved opportunities to perform and chances to teach groups of children again. After wracking her brain, she finally created the perfect way to combine her almost thirty years experience performing on stage with her over fifteen years experience teaching, and Miss Rachel's Party Productions was born. Miss Rachel has now performed at birthday parties and libraries all around the tri-county area, creating unique parties and shows based on any theme she is given. Miss Rachel engages every child with her high-energy, interactive performances complete with costumes, props, songs, stories, and creative dramatics. When not performing, Miss Rachel is a mom to her six-year-old twin boys and four-year-old daughter, a wife to her husband, and teaches preschool and Hebrew part- time at Temple Sholom. And she continues to live happily ever after . . . |
